Today I went for my pulmonary function test (PFT). The nurse explained this test to me when I scheduled my appointment. Her explanation was spot-on. Basically you put a tube in your mouth and breathe into a machine for a few minutes. Then you breathe some oxygen for a minute or two. Simple, fast, easy!

One of my requirements for surgery is a sleep study. I did one of these about four years ago. I didn’t sleep enough to complete the test. Today I went to a seminar held by BluePoint. My Surgeon hosted the seminar. There was also a dietician, and several hospital representatives. The doctor and the dietician briefed the entire process. Today I met with the doctor and the surgery coordinator. It was a quick visit. The doctor explained the procedure in detail and answered a few questions that I had.
