Netflix Stupidity – Where are the New Releases?

I love Netflix. They’re fast, you can stream movies on demand and their pricing is great. I however hate trying to figure out what the latest movie releases are via their website.

“This Week Netflix members are watching”… Seriously! “Movies You’ll Love”… Screw that; how about new releases, now available or perhaps coming soon? I know- revolutionary idea!

When I first signed up for Netflix I would go to Blockbuster’s website to find the latest movies to add to my queue.

I have two favorite sites that I use to keep up with current/upcoming movie releases. If you are a Netflix user I suggest you give them a look. Hopefully you will find them as useful as I do.

Thanks for the shout out! We’re always trying to make things easier. If you have any ideas, let us know. I do know that some studios are experimenting with windows delaying the release of certain new releases to places like Netfliz and Redbox and the like. So, it’s only going to get more confusing for a consumer. As Reed Hastings himself said:

“For us, most consumers are not sure if DVDs come out 90 days after the theatrical release, 120 days, 150 days, 180 — it is all over the map. It constantly changes, not only between studios but also between specific releases. So there is not a high expectation of any perfect day when it is supposed to be out. . . Subscribers are just not that aware of when DVDs come out relative to [their theatrical release].”
