Dr. Visit #7 (Fill #1)

I had my first fill today. It wasn’t bad at all. The doctor really took his time and asked how everything was going. He reviewed my progress and told me what he was going to do and how it was going to affect me.

He began with a small shot of numbing medicine. I only felt a little (very quick) poke and that was it. He waited a moment for the numbing medicine to take. I didn’t look at the large needle he was going to plunge into me. He felt around until he found my port and that was all I felt. He put the needle in and started the fill. It all only took a few minutes.

After he took the needle out he had me sit up and sip some water. They want to make sure everything goes down okay and there are no obstructions. The water went down without any issue. I didn’t feel any obstructions so I was sent on my way.

Simple and easy…

I am glad I got a fill today. I have been having some hunger and I know I have been eating more than I should. It’s nice to finally start using this tool I have been provided with.

And the journey begins!
